Obscura Society SF: Feb 4 San Francisco Chapter Meetup & Brainstorming Session
Hey San Francisco, we’d like to pick your brain.
We are planning field trips to the city’s weird corners and we want your ideas on places to see, stories to seek out, and crackpot adventures to plot. Also, we know you know that one guy with a Tesla Coil in his garage, and we think you are holding out on us.
Come by and introduce yourself Saturday February 4 for a brainstorming session and a visit with our friends from the Long Now Foundation, the brains behind the amazing 10,000 year clock project.
We’re building a calender for our next year of local explorations as well as getting our 2012 International Obscura Day plans kickstarted, and we want your brains. We’ll bust out the map and notebooks - come armed with your brilliant ideas for unusual local outings and obscure far flung adventures.
Meet us at 5pm at The Reader’s Cafe at Fort Mason for introductions and coffee, and then we’ll stroll over to the Long Now for mappy brainstorming and a look at the Orrery and hear about the progress on the clock.
Even though this get together is freeeeeee, please RSVP so we have an idea of how many people will be showing up
