Many of the best museums are to be found tucked away in the corner of university campuses, known only to a handful of professors and students. This anatomy museum in the University of Valladolid in Spain is one of them, though it is not for the squeamish.

The museum is currently located in the anatomical pavilion of the university’s medical school. It consists of two large rooms. Items on display include preserved specimens and skeletal preparations. There is also a wide collection of instruments, both for the practice and for teaching of the anatomical discipline. Some of the items date back to the late 19th century.

For fans of the human body, this museum is a must-see. It features real and artificial parts of the human body, as well as the relevant instruments and tools. The osteology section contains more than 500 skulls and 200 skeletons.
