Scattered along a wood plank trail through the trees in the Sentier de la Nature is a collection of unique metal sculptures created by Jean-Pierre Synott. Synott, a welder by trade, lives adjacent to the park, and his yard is also filled with his metal handiwork.

The figures blend into the wooded environment and appear around the twisted path. Synott crafted these creatures using pipes, plates, and other metal scraps of metal. He has created over 100 sculptures over the past 25 years, and dozens of them can be found along this nature trail in Sept-Îles.

Know Before You Go

The path to the sculptures is located along the cycle path in the Sentier de la Nature. The cycle path starts at a gravel parking area on Rue des Grand Ducs, near the intersection with Rue des Marguerites-Blanches.

The cycle path to the park and the plank path inside the woods are not cleared of snow in the winter,  so access is seasonally limited.
