Embark on a heartfelt culinary journey with Chef John Fleer at his restaurant Rhubarb, where Appalachian cuisine and the Asheville community come together. Rhubarb’s commitment to authenticity in every dish is reflected in its support of local initiatives, including partnering with local farmers from Gaining Ground and engaging in sustainable chicken sourcing with Old North Acres. As one of its founders and current board members, Chef John’s passion is further reflected in his work with the non-profit Equal Plates Project, which is dedicated to creating equitable access to fresh, locally-grown, nutritious meals.
