The Gorges du Fier are known as one of the greatest natural curiosities in the French Alps. They are accessible via an ingenious footbridge suspended 25 meters above the Fier River.

These natural wonders were formed by glacial meltwater, which gave birth to Lake Annecy. It took between 20,000 and 30,000 years for the water to create the gorge.
