Nestled behind the Tramway Theatre are the aptly named Hidden Gardens. What was once the grounds for a disused tram station now holds a small oasis of calm nestled within Scotland’s largest city.

The greenspace opened in 2003 as a garden dedicated to peace, thanks to funding from the NVA public arts organization. This leafy secluded woodland welcomes all faiths and creeds and has been serving the community ever since it first opened.

The area is meant to be a space for peace, one where everyone is welcome to relax and share stories and skills with people from all walks of life. The gardens host many shared cultural activities and workshops that promote understanding and harmony through nature. It aims to be a place for inter-community dialogue within the culturally diverse Glasgow neighborhood
