Jardins de les 3 Xemeneies

The Jardins de les 3 Xemeneies, or the Garden of the Three Chimneys is an outdoor art museum with giant exhibits that change weekly.

Located near Montjuïc in the Poble-sec neighborhood, the park gets its name from the three giant brick chimneys nearby. They are all that remains of an early 20th-century power station built by the Barcelona Traction Power and Light Company.

Dominated by over a dozen concrete walls of various shapes and sizes, the space is designed to allow urban artists to legally display their works. Every week, a section gets repainted and a new artist goes on a wall. Local and international artists can sign up online to paint a specific section of the wall on a given date. The end result is a continuously changing open-air gallery of graffiti and street art.

BMX riders, skaters, and basketball players master their tricks in the urban space as well.
