At 75,000 square meters, with the capacity to hold 100,000 people, Kim Il-sung Square, named after the former supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, is reportedly the 37th largest square in the world. Located in Pyongyang’s Central District, it is used for military parades, rallies, and dancing (on special occasions) it overlooks the Juche Tower, named for the Juche ideology.
