Leśna Galeria (Forest Gallery)
A small square populated with giant birchwood sculptures.
When driving through the Polish country side one can expect to see endless fields, orchards, quaint cottages, and even some stately new buildings that tower out above the rest. However, if you drive past the right place, you will also see a surreal collection of enormous wooden beasts.
Leśna Galeria is a private art exhibition of Mr. Janusz Kowal, a local resident who dabbles in many forms of art and homeopathic healing. The creatures that he builds are made in much the same way as one would make a classical “witch broom,” from birch branches that are tied together around a stick.
At the location, you can find several beasts including a dinosaur and a bison, as well as several people and some cleansing structures meant to mitigate the effects of the radiation that surrounds us.
