The Lewis Ansbacher Map Collection is located on the 4th floor of the Jacksonville Main Library in downtown Jacksonville and is a collection of 24o maps dating back to the 16th century. The maps are displayed along the walls of the room and give the room a feeling of both worldliness and age that isn’t commonly found in a city of only 200 years.
Know Before You Go
Parking is by parking meter Monday through Friday 8 am to 6 pm at standard meter fairs. It's free Saturdays and the library is closed Sundays. Additionally, there are several other exhibits in the library including an art gallery on the 1st floor and the Le Moyne-De Bry engravings located in the Jordan & Shirley Ansbacher Gallery on the same floor as the map room.
