This beautiful barefoot path is located in the greenest and most wooded area of Flanders. It is surrounded by a network of bike paths and is right next to Hoge Kempen National Park. For a few Euro, you can enjoy a three-kilometer walk through textured terrain, but there’s a small catch—only bare feet are allowed.
Built on a former sand and pebble quarry, the park’s walking path is filled with sand, rocks, loam, logs, wood chips, water, and mud, all of which make for a delightful tactile experience. Enjoy the climb up the watchtower for a view over the forest.
Know Before You Go
The path is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. There are lockers to hold your items (1€ deposit) and foot showers at the end. <l
