Tucked away in North Carolina is an ode to a Japanese gaming staple. Pachinko World is the only parlor dedicated to the game on the North American continent. Reminiscent of an upright pinball game, Pachinko is a huge business and past time in Japan. The game grew in popularity across the country following the end of World War II.
While Patchinko World is modeled after its Japanese counterparts, they also have a plethora of classic games from the 1980s and retro pinball games from the 1940s to 2018. If you’re looking for something different to do, this is the place and it doesn’t cost a ton of money. The classic arcade games are still only a quarter and pachinko only costs two cents per ball with a 50 ball($1) minimum.
Pachinko World has been featured across major television news networks and has been profiled in Japanese magazines. There’s no other pachinko parlor like it in North America. It’s truly one-of-a-kind.
