Patricia Hotel and Water Hole
Kitschy steak joint where customers can cook their own meat over an eternal flame.
From the barbed wire to posted advertisements for the fares and rules of the river ferries to old local cattle brands burned into the wood tables, the dining room at the Patricia Hotel’s Water Hole screams down home rustic Western charm. After you’ve had your fill of the decor, the Patricia Hotel makes bed and breakfast accommodations available.
Built in 1915, the Patricia Hotel has experience three additions to the original structure over the years, one of which included the addition of this restaurant and steakhouse. Stick with the traditional juicy beef steak or sample a buffalo steak with all the trimmings. Too much? You can also try one of the restaurant’s buffalo burgers. Have the soup…while it lasts.
Here’s the real kitschy appeal, though: You can cook your steak yourself. Get your patties or steaks served on a Styrofoam plate separated by wax paper and bring them over to the eternal flame in the corner.
The Water Hole features a pool table, satellite televisions, a dance floor, and, most importantly, unique house drinks like the Patricia Blowout.
