In the city of Piera, Spain, local artist Pascual Zapater has erected an elaborate temple that exemplifies the ornate beauty of elaborate and baroque architectural techniques.

There’s architecture, and there are temples. And then there are temples that seem to be exult the glory of architecture as much as they do spirituality. Merino’s delicate yet grandiose temple in Piera accomplishes both of these things in semi-minuature scale, with a structure small enough to be viewed in its entirity from a few feet away, yet large and elaborate enough to be entered and explored from inside and out.
