Just a short 20-minute walk is all it takes to view the spectacular St Columba Falls — plus time to gawk at the breathtaking sight you’ll find at the other end.

This reserve is just 25km from the township of St Helens on Tasmania’s Northeast Coast. The area is abundant in dense forest packed full of species such as sassafras, beech, and myrtle.

The granite waterfall has the South George River cascading down one of the highest multi-tiered falls in the state, with a height of around 100m. It is well worth a stop for a stretch, picnic, or short walk to viewing platform at the bottom of the falls.

Know Before You Go

Follow the Tasman Highway for approximately 25 minutes out of St Helens before turning left onto St Columba Falls Road into Pyegana.

There's also a Cheese Factory + Cafe as well as a Pub in the Paddock in Pyegana, so feel free to sit back as visit the local attractions after admiring the beautiful St Columba Falls!
