South Bend, Washington is nicknamed the “Oyster Capital of the World.” This small city resides just outside one of the country’s most plentiful locations for oysters, Willapa Bay. To cement this claim to fame, a giant, concrete, halved oyster shell was erected in Robert Bush Memorial Park. The statue makes for a great photo-op and is a must-see when venturing through South Bend.
