A whimsical, scrap metal statue located in downtown Mobridge, South Dakota. The structure was designed by local artist John Lopez, whose Kokomo Gallery is in nearby Lemmon.
It features a cowboy riding a giant walleye. The walleye is a species of large fish that is plentiful in the immediately adjacent Missouri River. It is also the official state fish of South Dakota.
Know Before You Go
Walleye Up can be found towards the very southern end of Park Boulevard, on a little dedicated, grassy loop.
