Born in Sacramento, I moved to San Francisco in 1985 to study sculpture and film at the San Francisco Art Institute (RIP). After graduating in 1989 I spent the next five years engaged in various jobs to pay the bills while curating a number of one-word group exhibitions such as "Target", "Cardboard" and "Shy". In 1994 I began volunteering at Creativity Explored (a fine arts program for adults with disabilities in San Francisco's Mission District) and then substituting and working part-time at the second studio when it opened in 1995. I became a full-time teacher/facilitator in 1996, and the Studio Manager in 2002. I live in San Francisco and make short odd films while continuing to fuel my obsession with classic horror.
