I am a budding historian affiliated to Iraa-the granary (https://www.iraathegranary.com), a hub for for collective exploration of archives and art. One piece delves into the episode of "Aground: Creating from Indigenous Knowledge," a journey highlighting the importance of preserving indigenous wisdom by assimilating, safeguarding, and passing it on, rather than confining it solely to museums, studios and class.
One of my most recent explorations is the vast species of lizards inhabiting the terrains of rocky hills in West Nile, Uganda and a fascinating tree, Salia Musala that stands in the three border countries of South Sudan, DRC and Uganda.
Most of my recent archival endeavors are centered around the West Nile region of Uganda, extending into neighboring countries of DRC, Congo and Rwanda. I aspire to broaden my horizons beyond this locale, engaging in diverse historical inquiries.
