As a "Military Brat" (USMC) I'd traveled from one coast of the USA to the other three times and lived in Hawaii plus 6 other states before I reached my teens. While going cross country we stopped at many historic & unusual spots, all of which led to a great appreciation for both. Hopefully I'll be able to add a number of spots that I've been to with pictures I've taken there, as well as "flesh out" spots that are already on the list with original photos, though some places will have to wait until I can scan my 35mm slides.
I love old books, Victorian houses, Art Deco style, anything Tesla-related, old tools & items related to woodworking, electricity & radio/phono/TV recording, musicmaking and broadcasting history. The more unique & unusual/quirky/offbeat the better.
Thanks to the creativity, intelligence and/or a unique outlook on life of others, we are lucky enough to have a world of wonderments to find and explore. Happy hunting, finding and enjoying the Obscure and Original!
