Hello everyone:
Who I am is what I do! I love travel, study, music, art, language, and, of course, great literature.
------ABOUT ME AND WHY I'M HERE:------
I graduated with a Ph.D. in History, with an emphasis in Ancient Mediterranean Studies, in 2016. I lived in Rome from 2013-2014. I'm also enthralled with authors who, like me, have spent time in the Eternal City and have written accounts of their tenure there. Fortunately, there's no shortage of them, so I'll probably be occupied for some time to come, as people have been making pilgrimages to that magical city and writing about their experiences for centuries.
I love to read, listen to music, journal, research genealogy and do other creative projects, when I have the time, including photography, although I don't get as much practice as I would like these days. I still love to travel, but have less opportunity than in past years. I'm satisfied that I made best use of time, however; I've always tried to collect photographs, memories and experiences rather than material things. I'm still always looking forward to my next adventure, and seeking to correspond with others who do likewise!
