When emerald ash borers destroyed numerous ash trees in this arboretum, artists were invited to carve wizards, dragons, and other fantasy-themed carvings from the tree trunks. This wonderful collection of art is known by many as Fantasy Forest. One carving that is particularly popular is known as “The Strange Disappearance of Old MacDonald.”
