I am an independent journalist and editor based in Bengaluru, India. I report on the issues relating to gender, environment, culture and socio-economic development. My writing has appeared in several publications, including BBC Travel, The New Internationalist, IndiaSpend, The Hindu and others. Apart from several regions in India, I have also reported from France, UK, Croatia, Slovenia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. I am a recipient of the International Women’s Media Foundation Grant for reporting women’s issues 2019, the Earth Journalism Network Bay of Bengal Grant 2019, the Earth Journalism Network Asia-Pacific Story Grant 2018, and the UNESCO-Sahapedia Fellowship 2018 and NTICVA UK Visiting Fellowship 2015.
