Gypsy Gold Horse Farm
Cindy and Dennis Thompson discovered Gypsy Vanner Horses on a trip to Europe in 1995, and subsequently brought this beautiful breed to the United States, founding their U.S. registry.
The Vanners were an unrecognized, unnamed breed of horse developed by British Gypsies until their discovery by the Thompsons. While Cindy died tragically over a decade ago, Dennis has continued to nurture and promote the Gypsy Vanner breed in her memory.
A lifelong animal lover, Dennis' career with animal products began in the 60's when a pet store owned by the man who invented Kitty Litter ask him to work for them. Decades of animal related innovation and world travel followed, including the first adjustable dog collars and harnesses along with the fateful encounter with one magical looking horse. Since then, he has been obsessed with understanding and teaching about one of the most colorful least understood societies on earth and the horses they so dearly love.
Today, Gypsy Gold Farm is open for tours and has become a Central Florida Favorite and the #1 Thing to Do In Ocala Florida on Trip Advisor. Visit our website and book your tour to see, hear, touch and learn about these unique and beautiful horses.
