Juliana Castro Varon
Juliana Castro Varón is a Colombian designer, writer, technologist, and the founder of the award-winning open-access library Cita Press. She’s a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University, where she researches image-making technologies and the impact artificial intelligence has on creativity and visual culture. Juliana has been a Fulbright Scholar and the recipient of a Public Knowledge Grant from the Mellon Foundation. She’s the author of the essay collection ‘Papel Sensible’, which came out in 2022 with Espasa, an imprint of Planeta, the world’s largest Spanish-language publisher. Juliana has spoken and exhibited in many countries, including Colombia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Tunisia. She’s an affiliate at metaLAB at Harvard and FU Berlin.
